Two options of note are a great Japanese restaurant right across Louis Vuitton store on 170 St Germain. This Japanese restaurants, called Yen has a magnificent patio facing Louis Vuitton and is located on 22 rue Saint-Benoit. The other option of note is Le Canton on 5 rue Gozlin, Le Canton has been around since 1950s with a great menu and reasonable rates. 

Staying on St Germain Boulevard walking further eastbound there are a number of cozy student hangouts and cafes, especially close to Odeon right by University of Paris, Cite.
